And it could definitely last, becasue the horrors of halloween detailed villains for each tier. However, I would like some advise on how to carry out the campaign since i don't have a lot of experience in this filed. It just seems difficult to start things off, but i could definitely link the characters into the villains evil plot. |

In Evil Dead, the Deadites are spirits resurrected through some evil passages. Though you shouldn't do this to players (NPCs are a deffinite good to do to) the deadites possess the living. Then proceed to torture the rest of the living in any manner possable. For example, Ash the main hero. His girl friend is possessed and starts mocking him, "were going to get you." Another great thing to do, is to pit them against something increadably creepy to imagine. In Fatal Frame 2, my favorite enemy was 'The Brocken Women'. She appeared to have all her bones brocken, and crawled around on the floor on her back at really fast speeds. She screamed, moaned, and all sorts of sounds while doing it. Always disappearing, then falling near or on you to continue her attack. Not to mention being a ghost could move through solid objects as well as up and through them. Facing a foe much like that, would leave anyone unnerved. Especially if the creature did soemthing utterly unnerving like warpped her arms around one of them instead of dropping from the ceiling and start nibbling playfully on ones ear. Before screaming and continueing to attack. Fear, can come in other ways. Facing enemys who are obviously out of their league, and having to come up with new ways to deal with it. Making sure every failed roll is fallowed by something increadably horrible (a druid trys to save a dieing animal, he fails, and his attempt kills it). Constantly pitting them against challange after challange, and making sure their close to the brink of death before throwing something really scary at them... and most of all. Silence. Making sure no NPCs are around to help, and constantly have them enter bloody rooms without any corpses... Only to find blood splatters, words on the walls, hand prints, and shadows... In the wake of an abaonded town, with no way out. You get my drift? You can also always read Heros of Horror, to get some goood stuff. Hope I was helpfull. |

He has some good ideas: http://www.shamusyoung.com/twentysidedtale/?p=1968 http://www.shamusyoung.com/twentysidedtale/?p=1828 http://www.shamusyoung.com/twentysidedtale/?p=1821 http://www.shamusyoung.com/twentysidedtale/?p=1798 |
