| #1squarecircleJul 19, 2008 19:39:25 | There are a lot of debates (both here and in other forums) about the balance of the Greatsword. It's said to be the least powerful two-hander. Well, what if--and I admit I haven't thought this through-- you change it's damage die to 1d10+1? So, for instance, 3[W] would be 3d10+3. Balance issues? I know this makes it's average damage equal to the greataxe, but it still falls behind in crits even BEFORE applying the greataxe's High Crit property. Discuss. (Also, for the sake of discussion [and I realize this would slow down actual game-time] what if you changed it's damage die to 2d5?) |

| #3squarecircleJul 19, 2008 19:58:28 | You ever seen a 5 sided die? I haven't. The 2d5 bit is just a thought exercise. And anyway, a d5 "exists" as 1d10 divided by 2, rounding up. That's why I said it would take a lot of game-time (too much maths). I'd personally avoid 2d6-1 because of the "-1" bit and because it produces the same average (though with a lower minimum) as 1d10+1, which is faster and easier. HOWEVER, let's go with it for thought exercises (same reason I introduced the 2d5 idea). |

| #6wyld_mutationJul 19, 2008 20:30:30 | And whenever they release fullblades? |
| #7lolwatzorsJul 19, 2008 21:13:09 | Fullblade +3 1d12 high crit :P? Fullbade +2 2d6 high crit either way works out fine |
| #8jobbutJul 20, 2008 19:51:46 | All blade weapons are 3 prof; including full blade. and the fullblade should be military or supior |
