So I am starting a greek/roman flavored campaign and would love some feedback on the idea as well as any ideas you guys might have. Wasn't sure if this is the right section, but didn't see any others that sound better!

One of the first considerations is how closely you are going to hold to the source material.

For example, there was exactly one minotaur and exactly three Medusae (well, three Gorgons, of which Medusa was one). If you want Minotaurs to be a playable race, then you are going to need to make some changes.

Many of the monsters were unique to the Greeks, overcome once by the hero of the story, and never heard from again. There was one Hydra, slain by Herakles, the was one Nemedian Lion, also slain by Herakles, the was one Minotaur, slain by Theseus. Which of these beasts have been conquered by other heroes, and which remain to be conquered by yours?

Magic was rare, and often the gift of the gods. Those who wrested its secrets from the gods needed to be very careful. Zeus was opposed to man possessing the secret of fire, and punished Prometheus for giving fire to man by chaining him to a rock and having a giant eagle come eat his liver every day. Imagine the punishment for misusing the gift of magic and being caught.

For that matter, how involved do you want the gods to be. The Olympians were constantly playing games with the lives of mortals, and the slightest, off-hand comment could bring the attention of one or more gods.

Love the idea I have a character I designed and havent played yet who is a priest of Bachus... built as a battlerager who takes sips of wine between successful attacks to better connect him with the divine... the plan is for him to fall in love and do some retraining to some more restrained attacks than his original set (and perhaps be adopted  by a differing divine sponsor with his brv becoming a Athenas focus or something)
