| #1inferniceJun 20, 2010 16:02:12 | I'm making a few guns available to my players at some point in the future, after they level up and advance the plot some. I've finished all of them I currently plan to implement. PEACH, please. Ideas for feat support would also be appreciated. Guns: Shade gun Show Military one-handed ranged weapon prof: +3 damage: 1d6 range: 10/20 Properties: Load Minor Loud Group: Gun Crossbow |

(For instance, we both have the "Loud" property, etc.) The file is here: dl.dropbox.com/u/8019277/D%26D_4e_Future... |

There's only one +3 ranged weapon (and heavy and light thrown don't really cut it for me...) and having more just seems like a niche that needs to be filled. I think WotC and DnD in general hates ranged characters that don't call on magic. |
| #5inferniceJun 23, 2010 11:36:09 | The +3 prof weapons won't completely replace bows and crossbows, because there is still flavor reasons to having one or the other, and my players are not optimizers. And even if they do, I don't care because that is part of the design decision in making these weapons as they are. And I agree with ceiling90 with his point as well. Ranged non-magic characters have very few options in 4e and it's very disappointing and deserves more options. I may tone them down slightly in future campaigns if they prove to be much too powerful now, but as of right now I like them as they are and designed them to be strong for their purpose.Ooo! Your rules are interesting and very inspired, but a completely different flavor than I'm designing mine for. And I did get the idea for the loud property from you, I hope you don't mind. I decided that it's probably necessary and I could use it for something useful. |

And I completely agree that our flavor is completely different, and understand your wanting your own thing. And I am glad I could help you at any rate, and things again for the humongo complements! |

You can in a pinch blow doors/walls but one fireball and your mr splosion man . Side note/story i one time played a rouge that would throw a bag of gun power and ball barings and our wizard would fireball the area . |
