I just went through it and there does not seem to be many items for the party...at least when compared to H1, where there was around 12 magic items. I have not analyzed the $$ value, but from first impressions, it seems to need some more added to me. Ideas? Thoughts? Alvo |

For a group of 5 you are supposed to give 4 magic items/lvl of N+1, N+2, N+3, and N+4 (N=Char lvl) Module goes from lvl 4-6 Lvl 4 Parcels Item Lvl 5: +1 Lifedrinkers Scimitar Item Lvl 6: +2 Magic Orb Item Lvl 7: Belt of Sacrifice Item Lvl 8: +2 Delvers Chain Lvl 5 Parcels Item Lvl 6: Shadowfell Gloves Item Lvl 7: Dwarven Greeves Item Lvl 8: +2 Amulet of Health Item Lvl 9: (Lvl 7) +2 Elven Cloak Level 6 Parcels Item Lvl 7: +2 Cloak of Resistance Item Lvl 8: (lvl6) +2 Magic Staff Item Lvl 9: (lvl 7) Bracers of Defense Item Lvl 10: +2 Flaming Maul So it doesn't follow it to the letter, which suprised me a bit (you would think WotC would adhear to thier own rules!) The parcels given out while lvl 4 are dead on, but for the lvl 5 and 6 runs, they are mixed up a bit. i.e. the +2 Flaming Maul is a lvl 10 item thereofore it should be obtained durring lvl 6, yet they characters will get this while they are lvl 5. Honestly though, I dont see an issue with grouping the 3 parcel lists together and awarding them out over the course of the entire adventure. Also, one of my pet peeves as a player is defeating a BBEG only to recieve a magic item that nobody can use. i.e. a +1 Long sword, when both the Ranger and the Pally already have a +2 Long Sword each. So, as a DM (and I offer this idea to you) I just rip out all the treasure from a printed adventure, and add back in loot that will almost always make the party happy. The beauty of the parcel system is it makes this a breeze to do, and with the Daily Power usage limits, you dont have to worry as much about over powering the PC's when you shower them with magic items. Bit verbose for a simple question, but I hope that helps! ![]() |

More appropriate list now just from going over it once more. And yes, I agree. I tend to manipulate the items as need to suit the party as well. Alvo |
