Hey everybody,

I've been a lifetime fan of Harvest Moon 64, since I first started playing it about 5 years ago. I have been playing d20 games since then and was wondering if anyone has done, or knows of, any work on converting the Harvest Moon 64 rules to any form of tabletop rules (preferably DnD 3.5, but really any would be a better platform to stand on then the one I currently reside).

Thank you!

(if this is in the wrong forum, please let me know immediately so I can move it as appropriate)

Well...Harvest Moon is a game in a long series that has stretched from the SNES to the new one coming out in August for the Wii. If your just talking about some kind of farming campaign, there probably have been a few.

More popular would probably be campaigns that focus around owning/building/defending a settlement/keep/tower/stronghold of some kind.

Ideally I'm looking more towards just a rural community, sticking together as rural communities do. I was hoping there'd more in-depth rules somewhere, seeing as how simple Profession (Farmer) checks might get extremely over-powered when thats all there is to do.

Well unfortunately such situations aren't really covered by the rules as the game doesn't focus on that kind of game play. There are a few spells that would benefit a community and the like that work, and you could potentially use the rules in the 3.5 PHB 2 for Organizations to do some things but you'd be on your own for anything more then that.

The players are adventurers after all.

Do you think that your players would be interested in this setting? Or is this something that is more for you?
