| #1Horus_SungodJun 20, 2008 20:40:16 | I was quite happy to see the Tarrasque as an abomination, as well as the freakiest monster of them all, the Atropal, make it to the MM. However, though excpectable, the Hecatoncheires was not included. So I made my own version. Of course, I won't be able to use it for a while (campains don't usually begin at level 30!) but I hope I will use it one day. It's a level 40 solo, so it's pretty much the baddest monster creatable using current rules (the xp chart stopping at lv 40 and all that). Of course one could make the Mortiverse, but I disgress... So, what do you think of my monster? I replaced the original's Heca 100 attacks with only five, seeing how time is limited when playing D&D and all ![]() I tried to translate all its abilities as best as I could (and directly copied its stats). So without more wait, I present (my) ---------------------- Hecatoncheires Level 40 Solo Soldier Gargantuan immortal magical beast XP 555,000 Initiative +22 Senses Perception +24; blindsight 20, All-Around Vision HP 1800; Bloodied 900 AC 58; Fortitude 54, Reflex 54, Will 52 Immune charm, sleep*, fear; Resist 30 lightning, resist 10 fire and cold Saving Throws +5 Speed 20 Action Points 2 Penetrate Resistance An Hecatoncheires’s attacks ignore the first ten points of resistance. m Endless Blade Cascade (standard; at-will) ✦ Weapon Reach 3; The Hecatoncheires makes five greatsword attacks against the same target: +47 vs. AC; 1d10 + 25 damage. This also holds true for opportunity attacks. r Endless Catapult (standard; at-will) The Hecatoncheires makes five thrown rock attacks against the same target. Ranged 70; +45 vs. Reflex; 2d6 + 25 damage, and the target is dazed (save ends). ✦ Fury of the Immortal (standard, recharge 5-6) ✦ Weapon close burst 5; the Hecatoncheires makes five greatsword attacks against every target in range; +45 vs. AC; 1d10 + 25 damage, ✦ Summon Hecatoncheires (immediate, when first bloodied) Place another Hecatoncheires 20 squares or less away from this Hecatonchieres. It acts immediatly. This new Hecatonchieres vanishes if it fails a saving throw. It must make a save at the end of each of its turns. The new Hecatoncheires has no action points nor can it use its Summon Hecatoncheires ability. Multi-Headed Each time the Hecatoncheires becomes dazed or stunned, it loses one attack on its next turn instead. Multiple such effects stack. Threatening Reach The Hecatoncheires can make opportunity attacks against all enemies within its reach (3 squares). Alignment Chaotic Evil Languages Primordial Str 50 (+40) Dex 15 (+22) Wis 8 (+19) Con 32 (+31) Int 8 (+19) Cha 24 (+27) Equipement 100 greatswords, scale armor, Mysterious Vial |
