| #1zarba_mindbladeNov 14, 2008 17:34:15 | Need a little help with this feat, b4 I send it off to WotC. I really want this to become official, I just need to balance it. I would also like to get some ideas for similar feats for the other pacts. So here it is: Hellbranded Contract Prerequisites: Human, Pact Initiate feat, Infernal Pact class feature. Special: This feat must be taken at 1st level. Flavor: Your parents made a deal with Asmodeus, and upon your birth, you were bound by blood to the tiefling empire of Bael Turath, as well as to the Nine Hells. When you reached maturity the contract was burned into the skin on your back. Benefits: You gain the Warlock's Curse class feature and the Dark One's Blessing pact boon as if you were a primary warlock. In addition, you gain the Infernal Wrath racial power and resist fire 5 + one-half your level as if you were a tiefling. Finally, you count as both human and tiefling when qualifying for feats. Downsides: Anyone who sees the contract on your back knows what you are. In addition, the more you level up, the more powerful demons that will come to take your soul (DM's discretion). |

| #3pigknightNov 14, 2008 20:20:45 | It's broken, simply broken. |
| #4zarba_mindbladeNov 14, 2008 22:22:41 | Well I know that! i need to know how to FIX it! don't tell me that it's broken and not give any idea of how to fix it. give me more downsides or SOMETHING! I'll admit, I have no talent in this field, but don't rub it in! |
| #5pigknightNov 14, 2008 23:06:36 | It gives a class feature, it gives a sub-class feature, it gives a racial feature and makes you count as a race. This is broken because it uses features that were never meant to be given via a feat. |
| #6zarba_mindbladeNov 15, 2008 2:17:35 | Unless I miss my guess, what you just said is not constructive criticism. Your just telling me why the feat is broken, reasons which, I might add, are already known to me. I've stated before that I have zero talent in this area. Give me a way to tone it down, or go somewhere else. If you don't know how to give constructive criticism, or you can't help someone out, you shouldn't be on the forums. |
