I currently borrowed my cousins 3rd edition D&D adventure game (orange box, with toredek characters etc) and his 3 D&D books - palyers handbook, DM and monster manual. Well i am playing with 2 people who use 2 characters each, and i have noticed their is only 6 adventures in the adventure book you get with the game. Well as the DM, i have been told to create some more adventures to use after the last 1 is complete. However everywhere i look, its all 4ed, or does not use the dungeon map/board which you get with the game. I love using a board as it is much easier for me to make up adventures. I am only 18 years of age and was wandering if anyone could help with the creation of one, or know where i can download some others have made. Many thanks |

As a dungeon master, one of the great pleasures of the game is creating your own adventures and watching your friends enjoy themselves playing through them. It's like seeing your family eat a delicious meal you prepared....only, I guess, your friends get to be the meal if things go badly. ANYWAY Read the advice in your DM's guide and ask your cousin for help. You're really missing out if you deny yourself this. |

Also, for adventure ideas, consider researching some of the classic greek stories and creating adventures based on those (minotaur maze, medusa lair, etc.), or taking a video game you like and paralleling it, or modern fantasy books (Tolkien), or comic books, or movies (Avatar), or just about anything. Borrow liberally and then adapt slightly to fit a medieval fantasy (or whatever) world. Tell a good story, fit in some villain or monster fights when conflict arises, and go from there. |
