| #1drchiDec 03, 2009 13:13:01 | I'm new to the site, hi. I'm getting back into D&D from a LOONG break (we missed 3.x altogether). My group wants to play a more steampunky D&D. I think I read that Eberron is a steampunk setting for D&D, so I'm getting that. What I would like help with is a steampunk sniper concept. I envision the "scope" being a series of lenses that he clicks into place for the distance. I would rather stay away from bows (crossbows or normal). But I know guns aren't really in D&D (last I knew). I'm open to any suggestions...maybe a modified rod with bolt spell charges...I dunno. Help me out please. Thanks. (keep in mind I am totally new to 4e). |

Ask your DM if it's okay to call a Longbow a Rifle, and change the power source of Seeker from Primal to Arcane, and call it a day. The difficulty of designing and balancing a class ... oy! |

Let's say it's got this neat feeder tube at the top that lets you drop the bullets in. It would require the same action as a bow to reload, do the same damage, and use the same powers. All we're doing is reflavoring. Also, the Seeker isn't out until PHB3, but there's a really sweet preview out for DDI folk. I likes it alot. |

Lol... Alright, as to that, I'm gonna have to agree with the comment that you're just reflavoring the mechanics for the bow, or crossbow, to make it into a steampunk rifle, but to help with that... Follow this link |
