| #1groffaOct 26, 2009 16:20:28 | Hi there, first post! I'm yet to buy the 4e core rule books (funding issues...), but I'm really eager to test it out. I'm thinking of playtesting it with two of my friends (using the QuickStart-rules found on the site), but I'm not sure they're entirely buying the whole RP-side, or even the fantasy world of dragons and what nots. So my plan is to develop a mini-adventure for them, based on their real world-likings. I got this idea when listening to Tenacious D, more specific "Wonder Boy", a band I know they like. The idea is to extract the key elements from that song, and adopt that into a small setting for them to play. No, it's not meant to be dead serious. The plan is to get them to roleplay something they're really familiar with, something they know they can quote/act out without being considered "silly". So, if you're not familiar with the song, here's the lyrics: www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/tenaciousd/wonde... Things I've gathered so far: Wonderboy

What powers you ask? I dunno how 'bout the power of flight? So, his powers are: Levitation, Telekinesis, Compassion(?) ("power to move you"?), how would these be translated into spells/powers?

So! I'm open to all ideas, from fully developed characters to plain crazy. |
