Each of us took a Christmas story and put a weird D&D twist to it, using Santa's home as a portal to these different worlds. (I had Frosty the Snowman. The bad guy who wanted his hat back was a crazy artificer.) This year in our latest campaign, I'm doing the Return to Castle Christmas. The Krampus, originally an underling of Santa, has taken the castle hostage, kicking the elves out and putting a hold on Christmas. The PCs, having found a strange book earlier, use a ritual to accidentally transport them to the area in which Castle Christmas is in. They meet the elves and are told the story. Then they go and fight the Krampus and other Christmas cretins like the Grinch, Professor Hinkle, etc. I can't be the only one. Or am I just a strange DM who gets overjoyed by Christmas? |
