| #1NaseruJun 14, 2010 21:27:21 | So i started DMing a game for my friends. I have a timeline of events and fun stuff to try and kill them. But i realized with all these gods in game I dont see anything about holidays and such for any of them. I was wondering if there is any for them or do i just have to come up with some? |

As for the standard gods in the PoL setting just make em up. It's not too hard, Pelor is obviously going to have holidays in the spring and summer. Sehanine is an autumn deity maybe a harvest thing works out for her. So on and so forth. In the real world though many Christian holidays are actually taken from older religions and converted into something that fits. Christmas has long existed before Jesus and Santa, just it was called Saturnalia. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saturnalia Personally, I love the idea of using a holiday and I aim to do a christmas session and holiday thing for my group. If you want some ideas look at Warcraft, on WoW they do a Christmas thing and if you play Warcraft 2 during December the game actually checks your computer's clock and will add snow and lights to the buildings in your camp. Take what exists and just modify it. I once had an idea of doing a christmas session where I ripped off Futurama, instead of a robot I wanted to make Santa a goblin who rode around on a sleigh pulled by minotaur and terrorized a village. But that's just my craziness. Anyways, best of luck. |
