| #1Fate1316Dec 21, 2010 23:29:24 | Hi. I am pretty new to 4e (well, d&d in general) and about to start my first character. I noticed that there wasn't a druid paragon path based around the wind (that didn't suck), which is what I had in mind for my character. So I decided to try to create one by mashing up some of my ideas and some powers I found that looked cool. Please critique and give me feedback and suggestions. Being brutally honest is fine if you can be helpfull still. Thanks! Follower of the Wind"Flow with the wind and nothing will stop you." Prerequisites: Druid Most druids take the form of the Primal Beast, a mammalian predator. However, a few look to the sky for inspiration. The wind never stops nor tires. Instead it constantly flows over all obstacles, not to be contained. It changes directions as it pleases, never to be completely predictable. You follow the wind and marvel at the freedom it offers. You choose powers that let you borrow from the wind in humanoid form. Your beast form takes to the sky, flying like nature's raptors. You prefer to hunt from the sky, using surprise and speed to attack your enemies. As a Follower of the Wind, you feel both one with the world and free to be who you are. Follower of the Wind Path FeaturesShow Wind's Warrior Form (11th Level): While you are in beast form, you gain a fly speed of your speed -1 and must land after you completed your move. The speed increases to your normal speed at 16th level and your normal speed +1 at 26th level. Also, you may hover at the 21st level. Wind's Resilence (11th Level): If any enemy pulls, pushes, or slides you or an ally within 5 squares of you, you can slide the target 1 square as a free action after the forced movement. Wind's Action (11th Level): When you spend an action point to take an extra action, you may shift your dexerity modifier squares as a free action. Wind's Anger (16th Level): Whenever you push, pull, or slide an enemy, you may deal 1d6 Thunder damage and move them 1 extra square. |

In fact, Scion of Arcosia has pretty much the same thing at 12th level, and you might want to copy that for clarity. Grace of the Wind doesn't have a frequency. I'm assuming it's a Daily, but it doesn't say. Fury of the Wind might need a duration on the Slowed effect, I'm assuming it's until end of next turn or something but it doesn't say. Also at this time it allows Area attacks to pass through it, I'm not sure if that was intended but you'll have to include those as well if you don't want any attacks to go through. But I think that it's workable as is and it doesn't look unbalanced or anything either. |
