| #1Mengu74Oct 27, 2009 1:18:57 | I don't normally like having a laundry list of house rules. So I'm not really going to use these, or hand them out to players. More for the sake of the exercise than anything else, I'm trying to put together a list of things I would want to change for my game. Here is what I have so far.
HOMEBREW ERRATA 1. Hero of Faith - change from encounter to daily 2. Versatile Master - instead of at-will, increase dilettante to twice per encounter. 3. Windrise Ports - you may select a second multiclass feat, you gain the benefits from the feat, but do not count as a member of the second class to qualify for other feats, paragon paths, epic destinies, etc. 4. Reckless - change at-will to encounter, change free to minor, add "if you hit with this weapon" 5. Bloodclaw - change at-will to encounter, add "if you hit with this weapon" 6. Lasting Frost - change to vulnerable 2 cold. 7. Storm of Blades - No more than 3 attacks. 8. Moment of Glory - change resist 5 to resist 2. 9. Potent Restorables - add "when you use an Artificer power", change "bonus" to "feat bonus" 10. Solar Enemy - add "until the end of your next turn" 11. Life Transference - bend the bag of rats rule to apply. This power cannot be used outside of combat. 12. White Lotus Master Riposte - ? don't know how to fix this one, just taking a black marker to it. 13. Rhythm Blade - scratch the property, change to a daily power activated as minor action that lasts till end of encounter. 14. Hide armor expertise - instead of int/dex modifier, you may add your con modifier up to no more than +3/+4/+5 at heroic/paragon/epic.
FREE! I hate boring feats and items, so here is what I might hand out free: Everyone gets +1 feat bonus to damage per tier (+1 at 1, +2 at 11, +3 at 21) Everyone gets +1 item bonus to damage per 5 levels. (+1 at 5, +2 at 10, etc) Everyone gets Expertise or focused expertise for 2 weapons, or 2 implements, or one of each at level 5 (can later be retrained if necessary). Everyone gets paragon defenses at level 15, and upgrades to robust defenses at level 25.
FUZZY RULES * I don't feel like going through every item and feat that gives a bonus to healing, but all those items, now give an item bonus to healing, and all the feats, give a feat bonus to healing. Same type healing bonuses don't stack. * I also don't feel like going through all the powers, items, and feats that induce penalties to attacks, defenses, saves, etc. But likewise, powers give power penalty, items give item penalty, and feats give feat penalty. Same typed penalties don't stack. |
