I've created this based a lot on my religious roots so it's based off of monotheism, and I plan on using elements in the world like crusades, religious wars maybe, Paladin/Cleric heavy, undead heavy, referencing stuff like Dante's Inferno and the like.  So, in the spirit of homebrews what do you think?  It's just barebones and I'll change things like working in domains somehow, changing bonuses.

So, leaving your RL religious views at the door, does it work?

Thanks in advance.

Pantheon of Ouranos

 Elohim

The Megacosm of Ouranos was created and is sustained by Elohim, The Ancient.  Other names include Elohim, The Unseen and Theos.  Followers of Elohim are known as The Gleaned and the favored weapon is bestowed differently to each follower (random die roll).  Its alignment is good.  Followers receive +1 Wis and +1 to their choice of any other stat.  It functions as a singular entity but contains different functions:

Numa, Wind of the Gleaned

Numa functions as the “action” portion of Elohim.  He imparts knowledge and causes things to happen physically throughout the Megacosm.  Numa hears the prayers of the devout, and then communicates them to Soterion.

Avinu, Father of the Adherents

Avinu is the Divine purpose of Elohim.  Avinu decides when and where things will happen.

Soterion, Defender of the Chosen

Soterion is the link between Numa and Avinu.  Soterion receives the prayers from Numa then appears to Avinu.  Avinu then hears the case between Soterion, The Defender and Belial, The Accuser (see below).  If the Belial wins, the prayer is ignored.  If Soterion wins, the prayer is answered but may or may not be modified by Avinu, such as the when and where.

These three entities are never in disagreement, nor ever will be.  Elohim is the god of love, healing, judgment, and peace.  Prophecy from the Holy Sacred Writ points to a day when the Megacosm will be disassociated and one Plane of Eternity will exist, populated only by those entities in agreement with Elohim.

Apollyon, The Adversary

Apollyon himself is a creation of Elohim.  Shortly after Elohim created the Megacosm, Apollyon became jealous and attempted to usurp the power of Elohim.  Thus Apollyon was given the Megacosm to roam and was eternally banished from the Immaterial Ouranos along with his converted minions.  His alignment is evil.  Followers of Apollyon receive +2 to any stat but the stat cannot be above 20 at character creation.  His favored weapon is the dagger and shortsword.  There is a hierarchy system in constant flux beneath Apollyon, depending on what the latest crony has done for Apollyon:

Belial, The Accuser

Belial’s goal is to prevent the Gleaned from achieving their divine purpose, and is allowed to approach the throne of Theos for this purpose, to argue against them against Soterion.  Followers receive training in Insight or Diplomacy.

Abaddon, The Serpent Queen

Abaddon is the herald of trickery.   Her followers receive training in Bluff or Stealth.

Ba’al, Prince of the World

His desire is for material wealth and high living.  Thus he is commonly followed by merchants and thieves.  His followers receive training in Thievery.

Beelzebub, The Little Horn

This entity is called “little horn” because of his devotion to Apollyon.  He carries out most of his commands.  His followers receive training in Arcana or History.

Stophele, The Angel of Light

When Apollyon was banished by Elohim, so was Stophele.  She was originally behind Apollyon, but now resents the fact that she is banished.  She wants to steal followers both from Apollyon and his camp of cronies as well as Elohim.  She does this by getting to them before Apollyon, and appearing as the “Angel of Light” to those bent towards Elohim to draw them away.  Her goal is not for their devotion, but rather to deprive Elohim and Apollyon of their followers.  Followers of Stophele receive +1 CHA and +1 to any other stat.  Her favored weapon is the mace.  Her alignment is neutral.

Do you have some information about how the followers treat eachother? is there constant war between Elohims and Apollyon's followers as if they were all that is good vs all that is bad or are they simply living next to eachother in relative peace?

Nice way of simple logic, great gods too =D

But why does that Belial have those powers? it allmost seems he's stronger than Apollyon, being able to approach the other gods and all... :o
