Where to start? I've been playing since first edition and my crew has habitually run one edition behind, please forgive me So this Q is as much homebrew as legacy.

Can someone give me a step-by-step description of the 3.5 craft skill with an example? I'm trying to move my Feat: Concoct Mundane Potion/Poison into Craft (alchemy) and I just need to see some info into how the time and money work and I can finish it. The "complete in sp" stuff especially confuses me.

I think the legacy forum would be much better for this .

Here's it how I remember it (no guarantees)

- Find your item (for example some armor, with price 30 gp)
- 30 gp = 300 sp
- find DC for amorcrafting
- make a check each week. on succes multiply DC with roll. (suppose DC was 15, you got a 19). your progress is now 285.
- 285 is less then 300, so you're not done yet.
- each successfull check, on succes multiply DC with roll and add the result (for example you got 16 on your DC 15 item), you now add 240 with 285. This is more then 300, so you're done.

IIRC general consensus is that the craft rules are bad, because it takes too long for general adventurers to do ...
