I'm going to wrap up this segment on it in a couple of sessions and then I want to switch systems to pathfinder because I want to try it out and feel it's more suitable. How do I go about transferring characters from one system to the other? I'm thinking of lowering their level because the cap in pathfinder is lower than 4E but I don't want the players to feel like they've stepped backwards. I'll still let them keep all their equipment and gold I'll just port it over to whatever the equivalent is barring some odd cases. Anyobdy have any experience of this and how to do it? |

Just run two campaigns (in fact I would do the opposite of converting - I'd pick two different settings on purpose, to avoid comparisons of power level and effects, and concentrate on game play). |

Our group is already far too established into this campaign world for us to start an entirely new campaign and I've put too much effort in just to scrap everything. But I'm tired of 4E and want the realistic feel of Pathfinder as the gamey, tactical 4E doesn't work very well for the campaign. I think my basic idea is just to have everybody remake their characters in pathfinder with x amount of level appropriate gold and we'll just carry on as normal from there. Thanks for your input anyway. |
