Well, Fly is a 16th level wizard daily utility power. Does that answer your question? ![]() If you limit the flight to a single round and specify a range of 5, it can't possibly be any more broken than Fey Step. But it's also more like a long jump. |

Well, outside of a Faerunian level world, going by standards Yes overpowered. In Faerunian (ie fairly fantastic) not at all. For balance with exclusion to figuring out if you have faerun or not ask yourself how useful it will be. If there are lots of open ground, Yes. If there is mostly Dungeons - No. |
| #4squarecircleAug 28, 2008 4:19:20 | I don't think it's overpowered. Eladrin get Fey Step which is even more powerful, as it doesn't even provoke OAs. Genasi get some kind of 8-square movement ability that can go over any terrain as an encounter (however, it provokes OAs). So flying your speed doesn't seem overpowered to me, compared to those. |
| #5ff6shadowAug 28, 2008 21:10:11 | Genasi have two really good movment abilities. They have Swift Current, which lets you shift your speed over ground or liquid terrain while taking no penalty for squeezing, ignore difficult terrain and take no damage for moving over damaging terrain. Or you can pick Windwalker, which let's you fly 8 squares, floating to the ground safely if you don't land before the end of the movement. So five straight minutes of a awesome movement is considered pretty strong, but a single round of awesome movement is considered okay for an encounter power. |
