How would a planeswalker epic destiny work?

The problem is, each planeswalker is so different from each other, that It might be difficult with which to implement it.

Newer planeswalkers have only one thing linking them - the ability to, with enough concentration, traverse planes.

That is all.

They have secondary abilities that have to do with their nature. There are rituals available to players to do that without having an epic destiny... so I don't see where it would be benefitial.

As does the Horizon Walker paragon path.
