| #1bartdAug 06, 2009 9:12:06 | As a DM, I'd like to let a player play a human character with Fey Step (or whatever we will end up calling it). Now the question is what to give up for it? Is the extra at-will enough? (Planning to take that away at least) Or should I also remove the bonus feat, bonus skill and/or defense bonus? What do you think will be a balanced trade? An alternative route would be to take a Dragonborn and trade Dragon Breath for Fey Step and then re-fluff as a human (and consider the character human for feats etc). Do you think that would be a balanced trade? |

You could also consider building the character entirely as an Eladrin, but just replace "Fey Origin" with "Human Origin" - i.e. the character could take Human Feats, not Fey or Elf ones. Might be a step too far for the player though? I do this myself for refluffed races, so I can use Character Builder. |
