| #1Dragon9Nov 08, 2008 9:32:36 | An attempt to recreate the old Prestige Class for 4e. Hunter of the Dead Prerequisite: Paladin class Hunter’s Inspiring Action (11th): When you spend an action point, all allies gain a bonus to saving throws against Fear effects equal to your Charisma bonus for the rest of the encounter. Hunter’s Resolve (11th): The Hunter of the Dead receives a bonus to saving throws equal to his Charisma modifier against effects placed upon him by creatures with the Undead keyword. Hunter’s Aid (16th): When using lay on hands, instead of healing hit points you may expend a healing surge to grant an ally an automatic save against an effect they currently suffer from. Anathema’s Bane Hunter of the Dead Attack 11 Calling upon your God you release a flood of divine energy around you that burns at those who should not be walking amongst the living. Encounter * Martial, Implement, Radiant Standard action Close burst 3 Target: Each enemy in burst Attack: Charisma vs. Reflex Hit: 2d10 + Charisma modifier Radiant damage and the target is weakened (save ends) Special: Enemies with the Undead keyword suffer 2d10 + Charisma Radiant damage and are weakened and dazed (save ends both). Inner Strength Hunter of the Dead Utility 12 Your cause gives you strength in the face of overwhelming odds. Daily Minor action Personal Effect: Until the end of the encounter, as an immediate interrupt you can make a saving throw against any effects that were just placed on you by a creature with the Undead keyword. Smite the Risen Hunter of the Dead Attack 20 Thou shalt not suffer the Undead to live. Daily * Martial, Radiant, Reliable, Weapon Standard Action Melee weapon Target: One creature Special: If the target has the Undead keyword, then this attack gains a +4 power bonus to hit. Attack: Strength vs. AC Hit: 4[W] + Strength modifier Radiant damage, in addition the target is stunned (save ends). |
| #2PennarinNov 08, 2008 15:04:48 | Just refine the language. Btw, it's not undead creatures but creatures with the undead keyword. ...I like, again! You're good at this! Hit: 2d10 + Charisma modifier Radiant damage and the target is weakened (save ends) So instead of weakened they are dazed? Or weakened and dazed? |
| #3ff6shadowNov 08, 2008 15:14:08 | I suggest the level 16 ability allow the target to automatically save. Blowing a limited use power like Lay on Hand for a chance to save isn't to great. Anathema's Bane I wouldn't suggest improved damage for undead. They are already Vulnerable. The daze is a good idea. Just specify if they are dazed and weakened, or ust dazed. Smite the Risen I suggest removing the bonus damage vs. Undead, upping the bonus to hit to 4 vs. undead, and simply making the base damage radiant. |
