| #1ssjaoshiApr 29, 2010 6:25:20 | So, recently my DM has approved this for party member of mine Hybrid talent - Ranger Style[primal hunter]
so basically two hybrid talents for the price of 1 and then some... Would this be unbalanced?? i imagine in heroic itll be fairly okay, but once you hit paragon feats like called shot, prime slayer, prime quarry kick in... He's seeker|ranger, so i can see him getting [w]+wis+dex+primeshot on the seeker RBA's... his pet is a raptor so itd be fairly easy for him to get prime shot too. I know beastmaster is a fairly weak option in the first place, but is this too much? or just right? |

This essentially translates to a weapon focus/weapon expertise (not sure which and too lazy to go looking right now) without spending another feat to gain that. prime shot wouldn't give that sort of bonus, prime shot relates to the enemy being isolated from your allies. with his beast, he can treat it as isolated when surrounded by allies. the entire thing appears inappropriate. hunting style is available as a hybrid talent; beast amstery is available as a hybrid talent. The player should consider using one of those available options rather than this custom variant seeking to combine the two options. |
