I just had the best idea for an adventure!

Unfortunately I can't run it any time soon because we are only just about to kick off our Eberron campaign and this one requires the PCs to be epic, and at least one of them to be a Feyliege (which are slim odds).

It all started when I read the Feyliege ability Eternal King on an Eternal Throne. Once per day when you die, a future you steps back through the mist of time to rescue you.

What about playing that from the opposite side of the coin?

Assuming your PC has died at least once and been rescued by their future self the Adventure would go as following.

Starts off: Feyliege is at home kicking back when the door is kicked in and heavies burst in. The famous hero is marked for death. Watch the player freak out as he is expected to handle an encounter on his own. Watch the other players grumble as they think they're going to be left out of the action.
Things go bad for the PC but when things are at their grimmest, the PC starts to fade away. They find themself at the sight of their former death . Same encounter as the previous death, other PCs in thier same positions etc but something is different. There are more heavies waiting in the background. Of exact same type as just bust in the Feyliege's door, Something has changed. A powerful enemy has set a trap through time, sending soldiers back in time to ambush the Feyliege when he attempts to rescue his past self.

From here there are two directions:
1) The PCs past body is destroyed, disintegrated, stolen and they can "continue to adventure as their future self". Attempting to solve the riddle from the past and track down the ambushing mastermind, eventually returning to the present to confront them.
2) The PCs past body is available and ressurected, and the future-self returns to their time to tell his fellow party members that an enemy who knows each of them intimately is hunting them down. And the PCs must track down the time-travelling mastermind in the present to save their own skin.

Twists:
A) The PCs find out who is behind the attempts on their life and track them down. The PCs deliver the killing blow, only to have the BBEG rescued by their own future self. Apparently their enemy is something akin to a Feyliege, perhaps some kind of evil (unseelie) being from the Feywild.
B) At some point after this (in another adventure, preferably seperated from this one by a few wildly differt themes) the PCs again encounter the BBEG, except this time the enemy seems unaware of who they are. Essentially, they haven't made their mortal enemy yet because it was the BBEGs future self that tried to have them killed in order to protect itself from the PCs wiping out it's past selves.

Oh how I wish I was running a party with a Feyliege!

Anyway, if anyone is running a party with a Feyliege, and wants to try my idea. Go right ahead. Let me know how it goes!

Addendum:

Got a Feyliege that you are DMng for that has never used this power because they have never died?

Not true, the PC only *thinks* they never died.

The Feyliege steps back in time to rescue their former self only to arrive at a scene which is totally unfamiliar. The PC feyliege saves the day for his past-life self and colleagues, and afterwards starts asking about what is going on. The PC gets given a few quick clues, but the pull of time sucks them away before they can dechipeer the riddle and the PC is returned to their own time. The PC remembers the period of time rescuing themself, but has no memory of being the rescuee. Discussion amongst the other PCs quickly reveals that none of them have any recollection of those events. The PCs do some investigating, looking at their expense journals (I'm thinking Eberron here), personal diaries etc and note that looking back something DID happen during that period of time that they have no recollection of. Uncovering the story the PCs are able to rediscover a plot (masterminded by a exceedingly intelligent enemy) that they had once stumbled upon but had wiped from their memories. The enemy could have killed the PCs previously but their absence would have caused inquiry which would have ultimately lead to exposing the secret plot. This time the PCS are ready for the challenge, and the enemy who thought he had unequivocally hidden his tracks is stopped from going ahead with his doomsday plans (at the alst possible moment of course). And the key to it all, the Feylieges ability to go back in time, was what uncovered the truth.
