ABILITY DESCRIPTIONS:

+1 against creatures…The Vikings survival in the cold gives them bonuses to hit creatures who live in the lands. This increases by 1 every other level. If a rangers favored enemy is one of these creatures, the bonuses stack.

+1 against cold spells and effects…The Viking has built up his ability to shrug off cold damage and gains the plus against any type of cold base attacks such as ice storm, cold of cone, or cold creatures special attacks(when a save is required). This increases by 1 every other level.

Rage… same as the barbarian skill. This stacks with any existing rage abilities.

Resist elements…The Viking has built up a tolerance against the cold and receives the same benefit as the cleric spell but only against cold.

The Viking no longer suffers an AC penalty when in rage.

Whirlwind feat- The Viking gains this feat at 4th level even if he doesn’t have the prerequisites. The Vikings are known for the ability to make multiple attacks.

Shrug Blow- The Viking is able to shrug off a mighty blow. The Viking must make a save against fortitude and the DC is the amount of damage taken. If he makes the save he takes no damage, if he misses he only takes half. This is only against a melee attack.

Arctic Blast- Once per day the Viking points his weapon at a foe and lets out a Viking scream to his god. From the point of the weapon an arctic blast comes from the weapon in a 10 ft semicircular area. A cold blast comes out doing 1d6 per level of the Viking. Reflex save for half. 10 plus the level of the Viking for DC.

Critical Hit- Once per day the Viking takes a full action and announces he is using this ability. The Viking attacks and if he hits it is a critical hit (20)but if he misses it is a critical miss (1). If the Viking hits he must roll a natural 20 for an instant kill.

Pillager (Ex): At 3rd Level, A Viking is a natural Pillager and excels at breaking objects. A Vikings strength score when breaking items is treated as 4 points higher than it actually is. Also, A Viking ignores half the hardness of an object when trying to break it.

A viking is proficient in all amor type but usualy prefer lighter armor, Like the dwarven ability vikings are good on their feet, Medium creatures move always at 30 Small creatures move always at 20.

Self Sufficient- You can take care of yourself in harsh enviroments and situations-Gain +2 on all heal checks and survival checks.

Morale Charge (Ex): When a Viking charges at the beginning of the battle, all of his allies and he, gain a morale boost. The first time a Viking charges into battle, all Allies within 60ft gain a +2 morale bonus to Attack, Damage, and Will Saves. This bonus lasts until combat is over. This bonus improves at 3rd and 5th levels.

Seadog: The Viking is a Sailor and knows how to survive on the open seas. You add your class level to Profession (Sailor) and Swim checks. Also, whenever you are on a ship, you gain a +2 on Attack Rolls, AC, and Reflex Saves.

Zig-Zag Charge (Ex): At 4th Level, A Viking learns how to change direction while charging. A Viking may make one, up to 90 degrees, turn during a charge.

... IIRC this is the 4e forum. Other then that; some editing would be nice.
I'm also missing hit points per level ...

to easely you can press the 'quote' button to get this post in an edit field, copy it, go back. press edit on your post, and then paste.
... or you could paste it in notepad, and copy parts of it in your original post

also if you press edit and then press "go advanced", you can change the title of the thread. Instead of "would like some tips" you could write 'PEACH'. basically means the same. (Please Examine And Critique Honestly). Not that what you're typing is wrong, It just the custom on these forums ...

Actually, I think that the HR forums are edition neutral. I may be wrong, but I've seen some 3E stuff up here before.

He's used to 4e and is slowly losing his capability to think of the 3.x ruleset too easily critique without pouring through the books again. Just my assumption, as I feel the same sentiments.

I'm confused about this part...

Races: Any, but races other than humans or dwarves are rarely found to be Vikings.A mix of Human and Dwarf, (The Mule) is a very respected race in the viking community because usualy to become a viking they must break away from slavery, and they have no hair.

Why must a viking break away from slavery, and what makes The Mule a creature which was once in slavery and therefore no longer such. If human and dwarven vikings live together, which I think would be likely in this situation, then their offspring are not likely to be slaves, but treated just as any interspecies race. Some dwarves and humans won't like the Mule, but their parents clearly knew the consequences.

I remember there was a creature in the 3.x MM of a monster which was a magical cross between human and dwarf, but I always thought that was ridiculous as I see no reason why it couldn't be done naturally, just not common. However, those were treated as slaves to the mages which created them, but the lifestyle of these creatures would never have brought about the life of a viking.

Why don't they have hair? If anything is lost during a human/dwarf mix, it is definitely NOT the hair. If you mean the vikings, I'm pretty sure they would have hair.
