I, Strahd Question

It's been awhile since reading the book so I'm hoping someone can help.

The Reason for the question:

In a previous campaign in Second Edition I used a villain who's name was Gauntlet of the Doom Brigade from an old adventure in Dungeon Magazine. I changed Gauntlet slightly and made him an old general or sergeant of Count Strahd's.

The Question:

So from the book I'm trying to recall what the name was of one of Strahd's main fighters. I vaguely recall that the two of them fighting each other during the time when Strahd was going through the castle in a rage because he uncovered assassins plotting to kill him along with the his brother getting married to Tatyana. Anyone remember the name of Strahd's main general or lieutenant (I don't remember his rank either) from the book?

I tried looking it up, but could not find your answer on any wiki site.  Maybe the name will come to you, or maybe someone on here knows and isn't telling.  I can't say for sure.  But don't let this detail hold up a campagn, just makeup a name that sounds fitting if you can't figure out the real one.

Alek Gwilym, I think?  It's been a while since I've read the book...but I think that's who you're thinking of.

Leo Dilisyna(officer I think, it's not explicitly stated) fought Alek Gwilwyn(second-in-command) though the High Priestess Lady Ilona Darovnya was the assassin.

Two of you knew the answer I was looking for, Alek Gwilwyn... cool top have the name's Leo Dilisnya and Lady Ilona Daovnya as well since they had important roles in the plot to assassinate Strahd.

Thanks!

No problem I own the book so I just checked the first 40 or so pages(took about 15 minutes).
