We started out in 3.5 edition, but when the books started to cost more than the listing price cause we could only get them used, we chose to switch over to 4th edition. Honestly, still on teh fence about it, but that is for another topic. One thing I did have for the 3.5 but never got to use was the Frostburn book to incorporated tundra type landscapes into the game using the mechanics like frostbite, how long they could stay out in the frozen lands without proper gear, ect. This does not appear to exist int he 4th edition ruleset that I have seen so far. Does anyone know if something is planned to come out or if even an unoffical but relatively tested ruleset has been released for these types of land? My group will probably get to these places next game session and I would defintly like to have something up my sleeve for when they get there and decide that they can go out unprepared. :-) |
