| #1pbnSep 03, 2009 13:24:18 | Here's the setup. Way back when a character concept came up for a human darkpact warlock, MC bard in the "Justify Me" thread. I liked the background so much, I decided to keep the character as a BBEG for my campaign. The person was a bard, and for good reason he's nasty as sin. One of the items that the party will find is a letter to a servant where he references a nearby settlement of dwarves. As stated, he's nasty - he wouldn't use the proper term - he'd use a slur. What's a "common" slur for Dwarves (meant to be mean, not in jest). In NWN they use "moss-breath" in jest, but that doesn't fit. Blockheads? Any help appreciated. Also - what others are "common". Perhaps Pixie or Fairy to mean Eladrin? Mulch-brain for Wilden? (those are just thought games - I NEED a good one for Dwarves) edited: typo |

"Dirt rutters"? "Rock-loving filth" "Dwerg!" -Dwerg being old european word for lumping Trolls, Giants, elves and Dwarves in the same race. |

This friend of yours sounds like a comedic genius. Diggers is an excellent term for dwarves. I also like rock efers, and coal-heads. |
| #8pbnSep 03, 2009 14:31:02 | wonderful suggestions, thank you all... I'm thinking on settling on "rockrats" To explain (and normally, I'd sblock this part) - I was thinking about the digging/tunneling, and thought mole, that lead to molerat (don't know why, but I'd find that insulting), then since the dragon's minions are kobolds, and outside the keep (kobold hall, btw), is a camp set up with a rat pen and cook, rats are food stuffs (indicating lower than kobolds). |

| #11Neutronium_DragonSep 03, 2009 16:50:38 | My favorite one for elves, taken shamelessly from Betrayal at Krondor is, "pointy-eared lily-munchers". |
