Yeah I had a pretty good idea that I wrote down when 4th ed came out, then David Noonan snuck into my house and stole it off my table then I found the name and ability names changed and it was plastered in the Forgotten Realms Players Guide under "Swordmage"

Edit: A friend of mine pointed out that it probably wasn't my jedi knight that they stole. Since "spiked shield" is considered a light blade, it's more likely that they stole his write up for "Captain America as a D&D character."

what i was thinking was actually using the propper force powers and combinding them with powers from the swordmage class(i would rename the powers from the swordmage class) and mabey give them some rouge utilitys.

yes i now a swordmage is like the jedi but it dosent have the same feel its arcane as well. i was thinking psionic or just making up a power sorce called force(you can be the judge of that). making a light sabre is easy- just give it an Enhancement like any magic item(but its not a magic item of cause) and make it that it does lighting damage and it must be a melee light blade. i could also make it that they can duel weild lightsabres or focus on force powers for the two options for the class features(mite have to take a little of the ranger twin blade powers)

so this is what i got so far
features
*options on focusing on duel wielding or using the force
* and probly some features from the swordmage(changed arouned a bit)
powers
*utilitys from the rouge class(change the names of cause)
*converte the actuall powers that a jedi can use in starwars to dnd powers
* and add in swordmage powers with the weapon keyword and a bit of ranger powers that evolve around duel weilding(change the names of cause)
* change the power sorce to ither force or psionic.

hope you think thats a good build so far(sorry if you think im a bit of a copy cat)
oh yeh almost forgot you would be able to use int as the main stat with the dex and wis stats being bonuses depending what class path you take

Dumb.

You do know that there is a starwars RPG right? Lots of Jedi in that.

Hm, dual wielding. Seems like stepping on the rangers' toes too much.

If you're thinking of incorporating the movies, some powers a Jedi shouldn't learn until late paragon, force lightning being the prime example.

How would you handle dark Jedi? Are some of the powers dark side themed?

Also, since it's fantasy you might think of incorporating some of the more gimmicky powers from the games, like Force_Destruction. I don't know if you played Dark Forces 2, or especially Mysteries of the Sith, but there were a lot of powers that weren't inspired by the movies.

Our Jedi class is coming along, should be done minus paragon powers, destinies, and paths next week or so - barring life.

Dumb.
