| #1akodoreignDec 09, 2008 8:21:42 | Well I used sanderson's character generator to put this together. If you look at the data page it will tell you what powers are available. This is not perfect nor complete. but it does have options from level 1-30. Jedi Project - Expanded power cards. Give it a whirl and let me know what you think. :D (Starting HP comes from saga's where jedi's get starting con +30. SO don't evaluate that part :P) he he. |
| #2akodoreignDec 09, 2008 20:52:01 | Sample Build 1 - Jedi Defender level 23 Just for an example. |
| #3pigknightDec 09, 2008 21:43:28 | Considering at the start of 4e there was a keylogger that said he made a class then linked it, can you just post it here? Pweasy? Otherwise I ain't clickin' that link. |
| #4akodoreignDec 10, 2008 8:52:22 | hmmm, its all in sandersons excel character generator. 17 pages of power cards. I could email it to you if you wish. |
| #5Luis_CarlosDec 11, 2008 14:47:08 | The D&D version of jedis and sith would be cool. I wonder about if it would be ki or a new soucer power. |
| #6akodoreignDec 11, 2008 15:26:49 | The D&D version of jedis and sith would be cool. I wonder about if it would be ki or a new soucer power. I have it as primal. Drawn from the source nature and time. (not microscopic bacteria ) :D |
| #7pigknightDec 11, 2008 17:58:40 | Or just divine. |
| #8anubis_reynardDec 11, 2008 19:38:34 | Or just divine. Funky religions and ancient weapons... No mystical energy field controls MY destiny... |
| #9doomsoughtDec 11, 2008 19:53:35 | Lightsaber is already 4ed jargon... |
| #10pigknightDec 11, 2008 20:24:35 | What? |
| #11fragsieDec 12, 2008 11:19:06 | This is a fair bit confusing, I'm not familiar with the character builder that this doc uses and im not sure how to view all of what the class does and what the powers are in a clear, concise way. Add to that, that many people may not have excel, and i'm afraid that you're not gonna get the amount of feedback that im sure you would like. I suggest transfering your write-up into forum code and posting it directly here rather than through a download that people may be nervous about. There is a decent little program that i have used for class and power building in this [thread=1089965]thread[/thread] that will automatically format it all for you using forum code. |

Actually thought about it and am just going to use the card output list tab and image file converter after finals next week just to post the images of the power cards (no downloading required). but before something of that endeavor I have to get through next week. :D |
| #13matthewswiftDec 12, 2008 15:46:15 | Swordmage... ? |
| #14akodoreignDec 12, 2008 18:13:33 | Swordmage... ? Not quite :P a whole lot of options and builds.. from controller -> striker and everything in between |
| #15Luis_CarlosDec 13, 2008 3:16:56 | I imagine the D&D jedi with a new power soucer, the gratia (=power or grace).. but my question is.... with or without armour? |
| #16akodoreignDec 13, 2008 9:16:23 | I imagine the D&D jedi with a new power soucer, the gratia (=power or grace).. but my question is.... with or without armour? well if you look at clone wars animated. they wear a shoulder / partial body armor in big combats. Er some do. some do not. obi-wan does. I don't know where I would put that but Since it is futuristic = better equipment I rated it at scale . |
| #17Luis_CarlosDec 13, 2008 10:59:18 | But if jedis (we need a new name for D&D version, Kensei perhaps?) use armour... they would be too similar to cleric and paladins. But they are famous with their "kimonos" or monastic clothes. "Gratia" powers: Lightsaber - We can get the mind blade of the soulknife (Psionic handbook). I would like a energy whip + kusari-gama. Bonus; accuracy (as when Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) was able to launch proton torpedoes into a small thermal exhaust port on the Death Star in A New Hope). Jedi mind trick; - "these are not the droids you're looking for." - Telekinesis Force Lightning (energy attack). If they aren´t a ki, psionic or divine class. How would be their relationship with other classes (things like religious disputes)? In Star Wars universe they are the super-stars, but in a ordinary D&D setting they are a almost-unknown group. |

Have every single one of those and many more 17 pages of power cards There all in the generator I have listed above. as well as new resource managment. You know lightsabers are listed in starwars saga books right? on the data page of the generator is listed like 100+ powers and their level and effect as well as 4 paragon paths and 4 epic destinies. You can use the card list/card data 1-3 pages of the workbook to review the powers, just type the names in. |
| #19ubese4evarDec 18, 2008 15:12:32 | Ummm... they already have this. It's called a Swordmage. Three words. Green. Flame. Blade. Seriously, "mystical" warrior who wears relatively little protection augmented by a barrier of force, exceptional movement (teleport), attuned to one SWORD, trained in a monastery-style setting, etc. As for the "Use the Force" thing/ Saga's Force Points, just use a Lucky weapon. |
| #20akodoreignDec 19, 2008 10:27:32 | Ummm... they already have this. It's called a Swordmage. Sword mages suck though. lol, this is much better. (I have seen both a assault and shield one for several levels) including one of my players in the current campaign that just wrapped up. :D but all criticism welcome ![]() |
| #21anubis_reynardDec 19, 2008 11:43:07 | I would like to hijack this thread, and instead declare it to be homebrewing "Saga 4E." Basically, reimagining Saga under the Powers system. So, what kind of power sources can you think of? (Martial) Light Side Dark side Droid Any others? |
| #22akodoreignDec 19, 2008 12:33:51 | I would like to hijack this thread, and instead declare it to be homebrewing "Saga 4E." have jedi powers under primal actually. reading the description of primal it makes sense. and the power trees in saga do not work well for 4th is why I have a jedi class with 4 different paragon paths and 4 different epic paths 2 good 2 evil from each. gimme a chance to print them to photo and post therm here or download the excel character generator and have a look for yourself ![]() |
| #23anubis_reynardDec 19, 2008 12:58:37 | I was thinking more in terms of taking all the feats and ability trees, and turning them into Powers and Class Features and Build Options. Noble would be an easy choice for a mundane Leader Jedi Conciler would be a Light leader. (can someone link to the Jedi Code) I'm not sure what a Dark leader would be (same for the Sith Code) Tech might be viable as a droid leader. |
| #24akodoreignDec 19, 2008 13:32:42 | I was thinking more in terms of taking all the feats and ability trees, and turning them into Powers and Class Features and Build Options. Breakdown of paths / destinies One basic class, defined by paths and destinies Jedi Defender = Defender (paragon path) Jedi Councilor = Leader (paragon path) Sith Apprentice = controller (paragon Path) Sith Striker = Striker (paragon path) Jedi master = (epic) Natural extension of Councilor but can be taken by defender Jedi Knight = (epic) natural extension of the defender but can be taken by Councilor Sith Lord = (epic) natural extension of the sith apprentice but can be taken by striker Sith Assassin = (epic) natural extension of the sith striker but can be take by the sith apprentice. and each one of them work really well (need a few errata from play testing, but meh) but as far as other things go Fighter -> guard or soldier classes Ranger -> Scout class Rouge - > Scoundrel class Warlord -> Commander class |
| #25anubis_reynardDec 19, 2008 16:16:01 | Note that I'm not trying to convert D+D classes to Star wars equivilants. I'm trying to rewrite Saga into the Power format. That's why it's a thread hijack. |
| #26akodoreignDec 20, 2008 17:26:59 | *meh* Whatever makes you happy :D |
