I'm doing this cause it sounds fun, but I'd like to know if what I've come up with, silly as it may be, is actually balanced for 4th Edition Play. Egotist My greatness speaks for itself, really. Except when I speak for it. Class Summary Role: Defender. Your aura of magnificence can't help but capture the attention of enemies. Your absolute perfection enrages them (your allies too, but it's okay. Jealousy is perfectly natural when dealing with someone like you). Depending on how you demonstrate your perfection, you lean towards either Striker or Controller as a secondary role. Power Source: Ego. You're great, and you know it. Your greatness fuels your powers and places you above the rest. Key Abilities: Charisma, Strength, Intelligence Armor Proficiencies: Cloth Weapon Proficiencies: Simple melee, military melee, simple ranged Implements: Rods, Megaphones Bonus to Defense: +1 Fortitude, +1 Reflex, +1 Will Hit Points at 1st Level: 15 + Constitution score Hit Points per Level Gained: 6 Healing Surges per Day: 9 + Constitution modifier Trained Skills: Bluff. From the class skills list below, choose three more trained skills at 1st level. Class Skills: Athletics (Str), Bluff (Cha), Endurance (Con), History (Int), Intimidate (Cha) Perception (Wis), Streetwise (Cha) Build Options: Awesome Egotist, Marvelous Egotist Class Features: Aura of Magnificence, Excellence Personified, Perfection They say that some people are born to greatness, some work towards greatness, and others have greatness thrust upon them. Those people are hacks who don’t know what they’re talking about. When talking about greatness, there’s really only you. Others can’t even hope to compare to your magnificence. Enemies cower before you or try to match your flawless power, only to fall before you. So you could have spent your time in town, basking in the glory of others. But really, that would be a waste of your talents. You travel with others, blessing them with your presence, and graciously sharing a portion of the spoils with them (it all belongs to you, really, but you’re such a generous soul). You are perfection personified. You know that to be true, but how long will it take before even the gods tremble before your majesty? |

| #3Lord_VentnorFeb 22, 2009 0:17:23 | Warforged Egotist? Could definitely work. What do you think? |
| #4Authw8Feb 22, 2009 0:40:17 | Lol yes, Bender as warforged egotist would be the most hilarious character ever. |
| #5SamthereFeb 23, 2009 12:17:06 | It's pretty funny, just that all of the powers use CHA and only one is changed at all based on STR. This means that, for defensive purposes, you can go CHA + STR/INT/DEX just as easily as any other. I just think it's built a little too much on a single stat. Still liked reading it :D |
| #6gorditobanditoMar 11, 2009 2:29:24 | Just thought I'd put in that Bender's D&D name is Titanius Anglesmith, Fancy Man of Cornwall |
