| #1mieorabloodsongMar 30, 2010 14:15:56 | I recently added a new player to my campaign, a Male Elven Rogue. (the player is female so you don't get confused) The background is, basically, that the rogue's parents were killed when the elf was very young, and he remembers only that it was something Draconic, so the character wants to kill all dragons and dragonborn. One of my other players is a Dragonborn Avenger, and out of character they decided that the Avenger was the one who killed the Elf's parents. Now, my BBEG is a mind reader, so I know for the last battle he is going to tell the elf of this past with his dying breath, probably causing the elf to kill the dragonborn. My problem is that I try and give side quests to each of my players in between the main adventure, and I am having trouble thinking of good ones for the elf, since I do not want him to find out what happened to his parents yet. The obvious would be "there is a dragonborn near here, go forth and kill it." but I do not want to make more than one of them this way. Any other ideas that would not tell the elf what the dragonborn has done? Thanks in advance for any advice. |
