Winterhaven is a walled town. How come the basic info of how tall it is not in the info for the town? When I run this, the first thing my players will ask is how tall the wall is. I can't belive they left this basic info out of the module.

Well my players didn't ask, they where far more interested in that rag tag militia guy who was almost falling asleep during his guard duty at the gate. Oh, and he was wearing this totally worn amulet which still displayed the old symbols of the ancient empire which broke down 200 years ago.

But if they had asked, I would probably have said 15 feet :D

I don't have problems if such info is missing - however, I appreciate if its there. I would have liked a few more handouts, though (or any hand outs at all). Creating them costs me far more time than making up a few facts if my players want to know them ;)

Referencing a similarly designed keep structure from a classic module we have towers 30 feet high with battlements and arrow slits - also ballistae (sp?) on top - with the walls and gate house being 20 feet tall with battlements. This sounds reasonable for a point of light which needs to be highly fortified against the surrounding darkness.

Why would you want to know how tall the walls are?

Players ask weird questions all the time. And it's good for a DM to allways have an answer. This helps in making a knowledgable and competent impression :D
