| #1Style75Nov 20, 2009 21:13:48 | I'm setting up a new 4th Ed. campaign and have decided to use the Nentir Vale map from the DM guide for Levels 1-4 (keeping it simple so some new players can figure out how to play). After level 4, I plan to expand rapidly into surrounding lands. I'll be doing about 80% of the DM'ing while a friend takes over the other 20% when I have to go out of town. He wants to keep the game firmly planted in the "official" D&D world to make it easier to use published adventures, but I want to be able to make up a lot of the surrounding areas and be really creative. Problem is, I can't readily find maps that show the areas that surround Nentir Vale. Fine by me, I'll make some up, but my partner DM is insistent that there are official maps floating around somewhere and we should get our hands on them. Does anyone know where I could find such maps? Post a link perhaps? Or should I just make up my own? Thanks in advance. |

I did at one point see a player made map that had the general locations of the Vales and some of the other locations that have shown up in Scales of War but for the life of me I haven't found it again. Might search for Scales of War stuff that players have put together. From what I have read most of the area outside of the Vales is wilderness or whatever you want it to be. |
