#1 trebor_rjf Jun 23, 2011 4:55:12	i don't know why the wizard is the only one who gets an ambiguous magical utility power to do with as they will. lets see some ideas for some flavorful and thematic Prestidigitation-like powers for the other arcane classes in the game. here's a quick one i thought up for the warlock, not a final idea but something to get the gears rolling. Dark Thought with a subtle draw on the dark powers you manipulate you create a minor magical effect, such as chilling the air in a small room, reanimating a small dead animal for a short time or even influencing the dreams and perceptions of the weak minded. At-Will        Arcane Standard Action      Ranged 4 Effect: Use this trick to accomplish one of the effects given below:     * Reanimate one small deceased animal for 1d4 minutes, when reanimated this creature is not considered living. it cannot make attacks and goes about doing whatever it was doing just before it died     * Deal 1d8+half level damage to a single unattended small sized object.(increase damage die by 1d8 per tier)     * Create a minor illusory effect on one creature of your level of lower.     * Instantly kill 1d4 squares of vegetation or spoil 1d4 pounds of food     * Give one creature of your level or lower a nightmare the next time they take an extended rest, the target makes a saving throw before it rests, on a success they suffer no nightmare, on a failure they have a dream of your creation that lasts for 1 hour. creatures who do not sleep cannot be affected by this trick     * control a number or rodents, insects and arachnids equal to your level for 1d4 rounds. these creatures cannot make attacks and are killed automatically if attacked. Special: You can have only one of these effects active at any one time. Nothing you create with this trick can deal damage to a creature, serve as a weapon or a tool, or hinder another creature’s actions. This trick cannot duplicate the effect of any other power. im definitely up for honest criticism of this power and id love to see what you guys can come up with for any of the arcane classes.
#2 Mythril_Sage Jun 24, 2011 15:40:56	First of all this is in no way an Arcane Power source Cantrip.  This is Shadow Power through and through. I love what you've done with it though! Just swap the Arcane word for Shadow and maybe fiddle a little with the range of the power and it should be really good.
