Everything you know is wrong.

This is a subversion of normal D&D, all of the races are given new archetypes...

They changed everything...
The greatest heroes of any age, the god-slayers, after amassing magical power beyond that any mortals have ever accumulated before, they traversed the lower realms and slew each and every Dark god and major demon. Their sorcerer, Pun-Pun, produced great artifacts; placed in each of the lower realms, they prevented now dark gods from forming and slew any demons who came near. Dark energies were purified and vented. And once they have slew the evil gods, they left. Venturing into the far realms in search of greater evils to slay... not even the great dragon over god Ao knows where they now are.

Things have changed...

For the Drow:
. . .Immediately after Loth was slain the drow matrons lost their powers, and not long after the secret was loosed as Turge of the god-slayers hefted thier dieties head in the center of Menzoberranzan. Chaos ensued, even greater than usual. Drow society only came out of the upheavle after a full three centuries, in which time all had changed.
. . .The matrony was broken in most houses which still lasted. With all divine magics barred from them, the drow had to turn to other sources of power to compliment their prestigious wizardry. House Shobalar in secret researched in secret the physical laws, and all at once began to overtake every other house with the technology they had developed: Simple rockets and muskets. Soon after the remaining houses began researching the mundane arts, though at the same time the resources they spent to actual warring began to wane. Soon after, if five decades may be called that, the civil war had been settled, as the houses one by one gave up their grudges seeing Loth's influence too much in the war. In the end it was all blamed on Loth, each temple remaining was ceremonially destroyed and the drow caverns were declare free of slavery to the gods. And then they focused more on this new art. Seven hundred years later they have developed super modern technology, their greatest universities now reasearch a theory of everything, trying to bring the force of magic to the same level of understanding as electromagnetism, nuclear force and gravity.

The drow now take charge of archetypes all the good things of science, hope in the future and general scifi cool stuff. They are thematically apposed by the gnomes.

More to come
