I don't have the time to design my own adventure just yet, but am looking to run something with two players, maybe 3. Any suggestions? I'm just getting into D&D again after 20 years or so away, and am really enjoying it - but having quite a time gathering up 5 people...
Thanks!

It seems to me that with only 2 or 3 PCs you have a couple options.

First using the guidelines in the DMG for XP per encounter reduce the opponents facing the PCs.

Second, encourage the PCs to take Stealth and build or tweak existing scenarios to focus on infiltration over assault.

Last night I was in a session of KotS with only two players, but each running two characters. It went great.

It would seem, especially at lower levels, this would be easier to do in 4e than 3.5.

Very much so. Especially with Pre-Gen characters that have all powers listed on their sheet.

yeah, i am just starting to run KotS for two players (my wife + kid!)
they are pretty much new to D&D, i am basically migrating from 1st Ed

i am counting on the apparently very slick XP scaling of 4e
i also added an NPC/DMPC fighter to their team for now

coaching them to focus on stealth and infiltration is a great idea also! thanks
