| #1nanmaniacApr 14, 2012 3:17:54 | Hello there, I have the possibility to gamemaster 4 edition. I'm looking for a good serie of adventures linked each other with a shared objective, something like an adventure path. ![]() I've seen that Dungeon Magazine has "Scales of War" AP. But I've been reading it and It seems to lack of intrigue and hooks, it's just a hack and slash adventure. And wherever I google, everyone seems to dislike it. I've been looking for other books from Wizards, and I can only find unique adventures, not adventure paths. ![]() I'd love to read some adventures where the players can achieve goals and develop their characters within a good plot. Is that possible here? I've read in other webpages that Pathfinder has very cool APs, but they are not designed to work with 4e system. I've found "War of the Burning Sky", but it's not originally designed as 4e AP. I need some help from you guys. You've designed a cool gaming system with no good APs? I think that a player wants to develop his character from 1st to 30th level, is that possible? And only 1 AP for 4 years... Thanks in advance. |

It's being written by the same people that did War of the Burning Sky, though being written for both 4e and Pathfinder concurrently. The world's a bit different than typical D&D, but the path seems pretty interesting so far (3 parts up to level 8). www.enworld.org/ap/zeitgeist.html |

But their stuff is mostly in the "dungeon crawl" category, which doesn't leave much in the way of roleplaying. Honestly, with 4e, Wizards is just terrible with doing anything resembling "roleplaying" in their campaigns. It leaves a lot more to the DM than I've seen in Pathfinder and 3.5 stuff. But if you're up to the challenge I recommend the Goodman Games products. If you're starting off with a new group, a dungeon crawl is a good thing to run, it helps them master the mechanics of combat, which can be very overwhelming. The roleplaying aspects will come naturally after that. |
