I've also put up a homebrew shadow-themed epic destiony, Master of Shadows. I plan to continue posting homebrew materials as the inspiration stirkes me. |

I'll have another look at it later, but it looks fairly sound at first glance. I find the theme hilarious, admittedly. It would recieve so much flak in my gaming groups. |

Anyways, you can probably make the encounter powers target Will instead of AC. It fits better, and the Earth Domain does something similar with Fortitude. I was going to complain about not seeing the paragon/epic tier stuff, but then I looked at the sidebar. You might want to put a link in at the bottom of the post. Strike of Affection seems a little weak in comparison to the bard's Vicious Mockery (though admittedly, many things seem weak in comparison to Vicious Mockery). Lover's Vengeance also seems like it would be a little more annoying to track in bigger battles since you have to look backwards and try to remember who hit whom. Love's Determination is nice, though if you're not facing enemies who use Will attacks it's not very useful (then again, the Sun domain doesn't help much against enemies without (save ends) attacks). +2 to a defense, or +4 if it's against Will? Of course, it's already useful enough when the situation arises. Are your "do not attack this target" powers supposed to function when the target has been marked by the "do not attack this target" character? Because between them and Psychic Lock, you can set up some viscious double-jeopardy situations if you prevent a marked target from attacking a defender. Otherwise, nice job. |

Remember that Strike of Affection is an effect and Vicious Mockery only matters on a hit. Lover's Vengence does require bookkeeping but it's something I think a player could get in the habit of remembering. I felt like I gave this class a powerful utility power so I went with a more situational channel divinity. Yeah, the non-attack clause is powerful but it doesn't seem that much more powerful than a big penalty to hit them. Actual play could prove me wrong. |
