A few folks here will have memories of Blacklore (Magic taken to its utimate complexity to duplicate Advanced Technology - Rayguns, Flying Saycers, ect.)

What I was interested in was a collection of thought on doing it in a 4E setting.

  • How would the BBEG pull it all together?
  • What sort of thing should they be able to do at any given "tech" level?
  • What are your Ideas for including a bit of "magebuilt" in your own Campaign?

Any Idea is welcome nomatter how small.

Steam Kolben: A nifty little firearm usable by any Druid with a Heat Metal Spell allows the replacement of Gunpowder Technology and Restricts access to "Druids".
It is a non magical metal object just like a Coffee Pot. All the Caster has to do is fill with water, load a shot and cast a spell. BANG: (a flintlock pistol without the gunpowder).

Or...

You could just cast a fireball. Much simpler and less time consuming.

My stance is that advanced technology through magic is an artifact.

Or in the case of Eberron that technology is completely replaced by magic.
