I've got a few creatures that I use in my DDM 2.0 delves and skirmishes that I'm thinking of making house rules for. One example is my humble little 'Farmer' from Desert of Desolation. When I was playing skirmishes at Neoncon, Derek Stuppak and I joked about giving him powers and/or abilities. I've been thinking since then that as long as the other players at the delve or skirmish were okay with it, why not make some house rules on creatures? We make house rules on what's done in quests all the time.
One idea I have for my farmer is to make him able to throw that pig, he has under his arm, at his enemy. This would have a range of two squares and do five damage against a Reflex save. It would also surprise and gross out (kind of like stunning) the enemy until they rolled a save against it. It would work pretty much like the stunning venom from the spider swarms.
I just feel some creatures need more to do than just make one attack and absorb damage from enemies.
I also took a Hellstinger Scorpion mini and made him my guild's (Clark County DDM Guild) mascot. I named him Hellfire Clark and added that and a stat that this scorpion will keep attacking and chasing an enemy until it kills its target or it is itself killed. I also modified the mini itself by 'tatooing' the letters "CCDDM" on its sides and claws and giving it cartoon-like eyes on the front of its head. I didn't modify the bottom of the base, nor did I add any weapons or items to it that it does not have on its stat card, so it is still DDMGuild legal for tournaments. I think it looks cool anyway. How about you guys? Have you modified stat cards to give them more personality or add more depth and/or minis to make them stand out, look funny, look cooler etc.? |

The whole idea of throwing a pig at someone and having them make a saving throw against it for being wierded our or grossed out is amazing. It can be taken serious or as a joke would work alot in the Games i DM. I try to find players like you to make DnD just around a better game.
Than you for existing, And mascot is awesome |
