However, when brought up in the Martial Controller thread, it seemed the most plausable. Like the Ranger, it has two builds, one melee, one ranged. The melee build is inspired by the 3.x "Spike chain specialist" (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0216.html) as someone who uses reach (and power-provided threatening reach) to control an area. Flail-type weapons also get powers related to entangling the opponent's attacks, limiting their actions. The ranged build, however, relies on trick shots and powers that generate zones that provoke ranged attacks as opportunity actions. (read, ranged opportunity attacks) Both builds have access to intimidation-based debuff effects, buch in the same line as the Warlord gets inspiration buffs. Class features are pretty up in the air, but Majidah suggested variations on the Wizard implements: Ranged getting a reactive accuracy buff like Wand, Flail getting a reactive status-extending effects on martial powers, (reactive sustain standard?) and Polearm getting defence bonuses Exploits: At-will: Double attack- weapon Melee/range As per Ranger's Twin Strike, but you must attack 2 different targets Covering Fire- weapon As per Warlord's command strike, but grants a ranged attack against an enemy within 10 squares of the warlord that also imposes an attack penalty to the target (instead of the damage boost) Overwatch- Weapon, Range Create a blast 2 zone within 10 squares. If an enemy moves into this zone, you may as an opportunity action make a ranged basic attack on the target. Trip combo- Weapon, Melee Your opportunity attacks for the next round knock the target prone. If you are wielding a reach weapon, you are considered to have Threatening Reach until the beginning of your next turn. Disarming Strike- Weapon, Melee you tangle your weapon with your foes, forcing him to untangle himself before he can flee... or attack. You do Strength mod damage to one target, and if you are wielding a Flail, you and the target are both Dazed until the beginning of your next turn. (this attack ends your turn) Encounter lvl 1) Ranged power Dance, rummy, dance! (dev name) -weapon, ranged your rapid flurry of arrows forces the enemy exactly where you want him. Do [w] damage to one target, and slide the target squares equal to your Dex mod Flail power debuff power Low Blow - weapon, melee/ranged I don't care what species you are, if you have dangly bits, watching one of your buddies lose them is going to make you rethink the possible ramifications of your actions. [/dresden] Primary attack: dex vs reflex 2 [w] + dex, and make a secondary attack against all foes within 5 squares Secondary attack: Cha vs Will inflicts Daze. (save ends) Daily lvl1) Ranged power Flail power debuff power Utility lvl 2) Taunt- (encounter) some words just dont need to be translated. ever. Encounter lvl3) Debuff power Flail power polearm power Daily lvl 5) Utility lvl 6) Encounter lvl 7) Daily lvl 9) Utility lvl 10) |
