Metallic Lore

Draconomicon 2 came out this week, and I was eagerly awaiting it, and am, overall, quite pleased with the book.  However, I am running a heavily Draconic campaign, a campaign where draconic influence is omni-present, where, even if they don't see any 'true dragons' for a level, they can expect the lesser servants of dragons, or things that call forth draconic imagery.

My issue comes from this.  The original Draconomicon for 4e wasn't lying when it said 'Chromatics in Detail.'

There were pictures of them from a silohuette angle, a size chart, detailed life cycle information, every question a DM could have about dragons, answered.

Metallic Dragons?  Not so much.  It says Metallics live longer, but how much longer, how old is a Gold Elder, or a Silver adult?  What's the size like?  Are golds and Silvers the same size, much like Blacks and Grays, or does one tower over the other.

How do they look from below, silohuetted by the sun.  What phrases should I use to cue my players in on just what sort of dragon is flying overhead, and warn them, subtly, if they should run, or if they can stand confident that it is simply passing through?

Is there pre-existing lore? or any plans to release lore along these lines?

I believe most of the lore on the original 5 metallic dragons from the 3.5 Draconomicon can still serve a good purpose for you if you care to pick it up.
