Missed the mark.

I have really enjoyed playing 4th edition. The changes to the game have been mostly positive, and what wasn't was still very easy to work with. But one point really missed the mark in my opinion: The Pseudodragon. It is a totally new creature. The inclusion in the Drake category is no problem, but it doubled in size (Tiny to Small) and went from a strength of 6 to 13, thats stronger then my medium sized human wizard. The cute little miniature dragon that could perch on your shoulder like a pet bird of small cat is gone. It also got a bit less intelligent (from 10 in 3.5 to 6 in 4.0). The loss of some of its powers aren't a big deal, though I think they should still have at least Low Light vision or Blind-Fight feat. This is a creature that grows up playing with siblings that can become invisible.
But its the size and attributes that have really change this creature, it can no longer fit into the tiny spaces nor hide as easily. For something that was so beautifully detailed in 3.5, its transition to 4th really missed the mark. I can only hope a revised version eventually appears in Dragon so I can use it in RPGA play.

And more importantly, if you play in RPGA why is is this in HRHB?

Edit> As Houserules and Homebrew aren't allowed in RPGA so even if we offered a solution to the Psedodragon problem it wouldn't be allowed.

If you have failed to notice familiars are not in 4e (yet, arcane power may change that though its still a few months out)
