Misty Step, Stored Charge?

So, looking at the other pact boons, I'm seeing that Dark Spiral Aural accumulates more potency as fights go on, Dark One's Blessing can help you maintain constant THPS (if enemies keep dropping), Fate of the Void gives you a bonus, which is cumulative, and Vestige Pact doesn't just provide an attack bonus or some leader-like assistance, but can be upgraded later on, allowing a nice variety of options.

To me, this makes it look like Misty Step is left out in the rain.  If you already have shadow walk in place, then that benefit is eliminated, since shadow walk does not stack with itself and the duration is not extended.  While mobility is nice, it might not be necessary or even desired.

However, if it accumulated charges, which could later be cashed in, that would make it much more viable.  Now, I'm not talking about unlimited uses or anything completely insane like that.  I was thinking maybe one charge per tier or something rather limited like that.  Since teleport does let you escape the penalties of grabbed, slowed and immobilized, it would be very beneficial to have it handy, and if dazed it would enable you to have a move action (effectively), while still being able to use your standard or sustain with a minor.

So, while it would certainly enhance the usefulness of Misty Step, I don't think it would allow Misty Step to outshine any of the other pact boons.

Basically, you can forego immediately using Misty Step in order to secure one "charge" for later use.  Like Dark Spiral Aura it resets to 0 after a short or extended rest.  You can have a number of charges (uses) saved up equal to your tier (Heroic=1, Paragon=2, Epic=3).  When Misty Step would be received, you can again store it as a charge if desired (and you aren't maxed on charges) or you can utilize it as normal.  Of course, you can always just not utilize it if you are maxed on charges and you don't see any need to use it.

What do you guys think?  Is this a fair way to enhance its usefulness?  I think this could make Misty Step a little more player friendly, without (hopefully) making it a nightmare for the DM.

Maybe there are exploitations I haven't thought of yet.  But I thought I would see what you guys think before I broach the subject with my DM.
