Tortuga is a relatively large city given it's location. Covering the majority of a small island, Tortuga maintains a look of change about it. Much of the lower levels of the city are made of wood and appear quickly assembled, leftovers of the days of Piracy. The upper lairs of the city and the island itself show advanced buildings of stone and great mansions of both stone and wood. The people live relatively well compared to the opressed peoples of the mainland. However they have little in the ways of luxury like those nobles and people who bowed to the dark queen.

Once a city of pirates and thieves, Tortuga has become a bastion against such individuals. A city that holds out against the darkness of the world and the queen that resides over it. Run by various groupings of people dedicated to purposes of good, Defending the Helpless, Upholding Virtue, Defeating Evil. It is a land where the people hold out hope that the darkness of the night will be lit by justice soon. The city and the people of the world call for heroes and seek those that will deliver them from the darkness. This call has gone out and become more than simply metaphor, it is now a fact. The leaders of Tortuga have called for heroes to come forth for some great undertaking...

Tortuga is a city for the light side of the conflicts in this game. Players who wish to fight and support the side of light might find it to be a great starting point.
