One of my players made a request: he'd like to see some zombies.

With that in mind, can anyone tell me which mods at the 1-4 or 4-7 grouping include zombies? I'd rather not download 'em all to find out.

I know Ogre King has a few... any others?

BALD1-2 The Night I Called the Undead Out is a 4-7 with undead ;)

Now that I'm not busy, here's some more mods that have undead.

Levels 1-4

* CORE1-1
* SPEC1-1 (now available for private play).
* EAST1-1
* DALE1-1
* ADAP1-2 (I do not recommend this mod. It has convinced me all of the WotC created mods are just terrible. Which is funny when some of the LFR mods are getting quite good).
* TYMA1-1 (however the fight with them is optional. You can instead talk to them and learn they're not evil and so instead help them move onto the next phase of their existence).

This'll sound odd... but how many of those mods actually have _zombies_, rather than just undead? Does the player care?

For example, CORE1-1 and DALE1-1 do not. I believe EAST1-1 has actual zombies. SPEC1-1 doesn't have generic 'zombies', but has special zombies. I think same goes for ADAP1-2 (which I'd also advise against, at this point)

LURU1-2 has lots of undead, but no zombies that I recall. BALD1-2 also has no zombies that I recall. EAST1-2... does have a big zombie thing, actually.

Even if those don't have zombies, it would be fine to replace otehr undead with roughly equal XP of zombies.

yes, the player cares.

And sure, I can DME it, but if there's something pre-made, I'll just use that.

Appreciate the responses, guys. Thanks so much.

I heart zombies.

And aberrations.

When I saw mind flayer liches (alhoon or illithilich to us "special" people) I loved it... now to find more zombie/ ghast/ ghoul/ spectre aberrations... woot!

Really? I'd want to be sure that my DM had actually read the DMG and had some grasp of monster roles and tactics before I'd be happy to sit at that table. If I was the DM, I'd also want to ensure that the specific undead used didn't impact the storyline etc.

As an example, swapping undead brutes with lurkers or artillery wouldn't just "be fine" in my opinion! ;)

yes, the player cares.

Oh, sorry. I thought it was just undead rather then specifically zombies.

Zombies are fun...

Especially the Zombie Mob. (What's not to like about a Huge Swarm made up of Zombies?)

I just wish I could get those zombie hordes to converge on my Cleric just before I Turn Undead

New idea... try searching on "Zombie" in the DDI compendium. Even if you can't read the entries through subscription, I believe it should list all the RPGA modules that have them in effect, though I'm not sure if it lists Corruption Corpses and Gravehounds when it does so.

This was a good idea. I didn't realize RPGA mods were in the compendium.

Many many thanks, sir.

I only realized because I did a search the other day for some monster type and it was filled with RPGA entries.

Cool - yeah, I see that search works well. I totally forgot that one fight with, like, all zombies in BALD1-2. Also, the zombie abomination listed under BALD1-2 is actually from EAST1-2, just marked wrong.
