Perhaps in a few days I will recover from DDXP, but I still want to take the time to thank everyone. First and foremost, thanks to all the players who came to the show to take part in what I hope is a fun, entertaining, and worthwhile campaign--whether you are first-timers or experience players who now sit on the cusp of Paragon tier. Thanks also to all the people who came to me and the other LFR admins to provide feedback and their thoughts on where the campaign is, where they want it to be, and how we can make it better.

Next, I want to thank the writers and DMs who take on the sometimes-difficult task of bringing the game to life for the players. Writing and DMing are always a challenge, but when done well they can be the most rewarding experiences to be had in the game.

I also want to thank the other members of the LFR staff for taking the time to add to their already busy lives to come to DDXP and attend meetings, talk to players, run games, and support that campaign even more than they already do. I am fortunate to have such a good team to stand next to as we move forward with LFR. Chris Tulach has helped move the RPGA into a position where it is becoming more and more an integral piece in the WotC puzzle, and that benefits all of us.

Finally, kudos to Dave and his HQ staff. "Well-oiled machine" doesn't even begin to describe how smoothly they have things running at this point.

Let's do it again at Origins!

I had a fantastic time at the con! From this player's perspective, everything was well planned and perfectly executed. I can only imagine how much work went into putting it all together. We had the pleasure of playing with great judges in every slot, and the adventures were fun.

High points of the con:

Spec 1-2 was VERY challenging, even terrifying at times. It lived up to all my expectations and was well written.

Large table space/play area and a great venue.

The delve characters and combats were a ton of fun. In retrospect I wish I had planned to play more delve slots. I enjoyed the sneak peak at PHB2 content and can't wait for the book release!

Thanks to all the people at Wizards and the RPGA for making the 600 mile trip one of my best gaming experiences!

I'm sorry I missed it this year. I'm looking forward to next year with the hope it will be held 4-6 weeks later so it won't conflict with my wife's work schedule.

BTW, Shawn -- I had no idea (until I got home and looked through my swag) that you and Dave were co-designers on Dungeon Delve -- why weren't you two standing at the *end* of the judges swag line signing autographs???

Well, what they signed on the inside cover of mine can't be repeated on these forums. In fact, I am quite sure what they wrote is anatomically impossible and illegal in most states.

After looking through the book, I think it is well worth buying... great for incorporating into home games and for any aspiring writers to look at excellent encounter design.

Joe

P.S. Actually, both Shawn and Dave were very polite in their comments. I'm just stirring...

I had assumed you had access to some farm animals being from Australia . . . :D

I did not know that they were going to have copies of the book available as swag at DDXP, so I was just as surprised as anyone (not surprised that Dave and I had contributed, because I knew that obviously. ;) ) It was a lot of fun to work on, and everyone involved did a great job in making a product I think will be very useful to DMs everywhere.

Just popping in to offer my thanks to the staff of DDXP for a very enjoyable and well-run event. When I think about the level of effort and coordination it must have taken to pull this off, I am astounded! Great work, everyone.
