| #1RerednawJun 15, 2010 19:46:00 | Hello! I wrote mods for Living Greyhawk and tried to write some for LFR. Unfortunately when I submitted some work I got the standard "LFR currently has too many authors, when a spot opens up we will contact you and you may submit then." Well its been 2 years and no response. Are MYRE's an alternate method towards getting published (a la regional style?) Where may I find the FAQ on these? My search-fu was kind of weak. Thanks! |

They're "shell mods" that allow you to write an adventure for your group and run it for them while being being LFR legal. It gives guidelines on XP budget and what you can give as treasure. Some advice. That's about it. They are for personal use only, may only be run by the person who made them, and they aren't allowed to be distributed. |

In general, MYREs are a way to give DMs more control over what they run by letting them have a way to create an adventure for their group/convention/etc. The rules let you develop and run an adventure, but you cannot share it with other DMs - only you can run it and you can't publish it. You could always provide a MYRE to a writing director to indicate your capabilities, but I suspect a sample encounter and outline for an adventure would be just as good (and perhaps better by being more brief). |
