List of Quests/Sequels?

Is there somewhere I can go to find a list of which modules are arcs or quests? For example, CORE1-5 is a sequel to CORE1-3. I'm not particularly wanting spoilers (I've played a lot of mods, but not all by any stretch of the imagination), but there's a new group starting up with PH2 characters and I'd like to setup as many mods that flow into another for them as possible.

I'm set on the Zhentarim Infiltration angle, but that's the only thing I found info on predone.

I have a list of major quests in the files section of the LFRspoilers group. It's got minor spoilers - just a one-line description of each quest, along with the name of the relevant story award in each module. If you want a completely spoiler-free list, let me know and I can put that together real quick.

I guess I can check out that group - don't want to cause other folks trouble. Thanks!

Edit: Actually, that's perfect - I can skim over stuff to just find the mod names, but that definitely looks like it has exactly what I wanted.

Glad to see someone's getting some use out of it. I know it's come in handy for my own planning purposes. I plan on keeping it updated with any new modules that come out.

Totally appreciated and I'll be referring back to this regularly from now on

I suspect a lot of people are getting good use out of it. I know I am.

Thanks for your hard work.

I was wondering why some of the adventures have their level bands listed and some don't. I think that adding that data for all of them would be worthwhile.

That was one of the things I thought of adding. When I first put the list up there was no information on anything past this quarter, and the level bands were implied with the module code. With the 2009Q2 stuff coming out soon and messing all that up, I think you're right and I'll add level bands the next time I put the file up.

For example, CORE1-5 is a sequel to CORE1-3.

CORE1-5 is NOT a sequel to any adventure. It is the start of a quest, which is finished at CORE1-8 (which is likely delayed due to my fault and NOT the RPGAs). CORE1-1 is bit like a prequel to CORE1-5 and CORE1-8, but it is not really related with the other two except in region and mood.

CORE1-4 is the sequel to CORE1-3. CORE1-7 the sequel to CORE1-4.

CORE1-2 is the start of a quest, with CORE1-6 as the sequel and a third part is in the working.

CORE1-14 is the end of the quest that runs through CORE1-2 and CORE1-6.

Xan keeps a very up-to-date list of quest details (no spoilers, don't worry) on the lfr oxford page:

Known quest progressions are summarised at the bottom of the page.

Yep, I realized after looking at his list - I played both CORE1-4 and CORE1-5 the same week and got the number backwards.

Though... from when I played it, I'd say that CORE1-4 is not at all a sequel of CORE1-3 as there was no connecting action, furtherance of actual events, or ending of an actual quest.

More just one mod ending 'Hey, there's a city called Amn and they have mages' and another mod starting 'Hey, you happen to be in Amn'.

Well, the connection between CORE1-7 and CORE1-4 is certainly a lot stronger / more specific than the connection between CORE1-3 and CORE1-4...

Show
...but yes, the idea was to offer a reason why PCs might already have a connection to the Cowled Wizards and therefore tie the adventures together. That was part of the reason I specifically introduced a Cowled Wizard at the end of CORE1-3.

Part of the problem is that CORE 1-3 has a habit of running long. I have played and run it a few times and while it is one of the best 1-4 modules the end tends to get cut or else be done in a rush. By and large, once the temple is clear most tables don't have the 20-30 minutes of roleplay that the ending really demands to be done right.

Well, in all honesty, I think you could probably say that about every adventure I've ever written for the RPGA for any campaign.

It's something that definitely requires a bit of DME to really bring to the front, and nothing is lost if no meaningful connection at all gets made between the two adventures, but I've read about several people who did take advantage of the possibility for their tables, so I'm happy.

Yeah, I'm not disparaging either mod in this instance - it was just a lot less connected than I expected I haven't DMed or read CORE1-4 yet, but my gut impression was that I'd DME in a more relaxed stance on licensing (so that arcane players were a little less paranoid to join in the adventure) due to the connection.

In a home group I'm playing in, the cowled wizards connection was played up a lot and they've been communicating other jobs to the group effectively. Like, I think when we did Icy Menace we were sought out on the recommendation of the wizard from the ship...

Which amuses me due to the author involved, but I'm pretty sure the DM didn't know.

Anyone know what happened to this list? Seems to have died.
